Nepal Gender-Neutral Public Toilets

In the Western city of Nepalgunj in Nepal, lawmakers decided to install two gender-neutral all-access public toilets.

So near Bageshwori Temple Park and near to the municipality building, Pashchim Tara Nepal, which is an organization which fights for the third gender, built these toilets.

"The two toilets are a part of a drive to change the attitude of society towards the third gender," Panta told the Himalayan Times.

"Half a dozen leaders and CA members belong to the third gender or are homosexuals. But they have been hiding the fact," Panta said. "Many other persons, including some important personalities, too fall under such category."
