Russia Could Launch Its Own Eurovision

Written by

Conchita Wurst

After Conchita Wurst is gained the competition of Eurovision, the Russian leaders are so much in anger, and in particular because the Russians themselves gave their votes to Conchita, that they plan to be withdrawn from Eurovision and to launch their own contest for Russia and its allies.

In fact, it would not be the first time that a country would leave Eurovision. Turkey stop to be part of the contest in 2012 following a same-sex kiss and then launched its own song competition "Türkvizyon" made up of 24 countries of the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe.

"The last Eurovision contest’s results exhausted our patience," the deputy leader of Russia’s Communist party Valery Rashkin said.

"We must leave this competition. We cannot tolerate this endless madness."

Eurovision is a competition which preaches cultural diversity and if Russia withdraws itself, one will do without it.
