The Very Gay-Friendly Speech Of President Obama

Today, Barack Obama said his official speech of nomination, a speech which was very gay-and-LGBTQ friendly.
It is not the first time President Obama mentioned our community in his speeches, it did it during his speech after his first victory, that was also the case during his speech for his second victory and today, it was a pro-equality speech President Obama said because he used, and it is a first, the word “gay” before to mention Stonewall:
“Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law — for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well,” President Obama said.
“We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths — that all of us are created equal — is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall,” he added.
As we can see in the NBC News’ video below, President Obama is not the only one to have said a LGBTQ-friendly speech. Reverend Luis Leon, who delivered the benediction, also included us in his words:
“We pray for your blessing because without it, we will see only what the eye can see. But with the blessing of your blessing we will see that we are created in your image, whether brown, black or white, male or female, first generation or immigrant American, or daughter of the American Revolution, gay or straight, rich or poor,” he said.
