"La Belle Saison" (Summertime), A Lesbian Love Story Full Of Feminism

A beautiful lesbian movie just been released in France. «La Belle Saison» by Catherine Corsini is a film which portrays the love story between two women, Delphine and Carole, played by Belgian actress Cécile De France and actress and singer Izïa Higelin.

After the revolution of students and workers in May 1968, the 70s marked the beginning of the feminist movement, the floor is released gradually on topics such as contraception, the right of women and homosexuals.

It is in this context that Delphine (Izïa Higelin), a peasant girl, moved to Paris away from her parents to become independent and to freely live her lesbian life.

For her part, Carole (Cécile De France), a Parisian woman dating Manuel, is passionate about the cause of women in a feminist group. It is thanks to this that the two women meet before falling in love.

«La Belle Saison» is a drama full of emotion and charm: (the trailer includes English subtitles)

For the English version, the film was renamed «Summertime», it will be shown on September 2015 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
