"The Girl King" Tells The Story Of The Most Famous Lesbian Queen

Available late October, lesbian movie «The Girl King» tells the story of Queen Kristina, who marked the history of Europe and who remains one of the most famous women in the world.

Born in 1626, she was crowned Queen of Sweden at the age of six. Raised in the tradition that requires her to marry and to have an heir as soon as possible for the monarchy to continue, Kristina, however, dreams of freedom, modernism and finds sanctuary and love in the arms of the beautiful countess Ebba Sparre, her lady-in-waiting.

Swedish actress Malin Buska (Kristina) and Canadian actress Sarah Gadon (Ebba) play the two main roles of this film directed by Mika Kaurismäki.

«The Girl King» is due for release on October 23, 2015 at the Ottawa Film Festival. It will be available on DVD from Wolfe Video on December 8. Meanwhile, here's the trailer:
